WHERE THE SIDE WALK ENDS

This was a group project on visual poetry based on the poem "where the sidewalk ends" by Shel Silverstein. The interpretation of the poem is about a 19 year old boy who is struggling with his life in every way. He is trapped in this dark world of unhappiness and lonliness from where he wants to escape. He has bipolar disorder which doesn't have any control of. He leads a very lonely life even though he lives with his family, his parents. It's a very unhappy family because most of the time he argues and quarrels with his parents and his anger escalates for no reason. he was not like this before because once he leaded a normal life and was very successful. But as his illness gradually developed and took over it changed his life. His parents tries to help him in every way to recover but because of his uncontrolled mental illness they fail. Until he makes his first step and decides to get away from his family and get help himself to recover by going to rehab for his own good. Thus, the poem is conceptualized.
